"Peter Pan" - Alysa's Dance Recital

Alysa's dance studio, School of Ballet Arts, did "Peter Pan" for their 2008 recital. Alysa was in four scenes. Here is her "Stars" ballet costume.
From "Fairies in the Forest" scene where they did an Irish dance. This was my favorite, it's so fun to watch. Alysa did a really good job and was so adorable in all her dances. She really loves Irish dance.

Alysa was an indian in the scenes, "Redman" and "Ugh a Wug".

They did four performances of the show. We were so glad when it was all over. I was able to help back stage during two of them, which was actually fun! I helped the younger girls (Alysa's age) change custumes and get ready to go on stage for each of their scenes. It was crazy, but fun to be apart of the production!

Lil' Baseball Player

We paid the $10 entry fee and Paul was entered into the Orem Summerfest Baby Contest of 2008. Of course we didn't win but we thought he should have won.

Some Family Pictures

Paul loves his daddy! When dad's home he smiles and laughs at him. When dad leaves, Paul keeps looking at the door waiting for him to come back.

Paul also loves his big brother and sister! As soon as they get home from school, he gets so excited and is all smiles and squeals!

Michael and Alysa love playing with Paul.

Alysa likes to read to Paul. He likes it too, but I think he'd like to eat the book more.

Paul loved going to the soccer games in April, but decided he didn't like the wind - the weather was always so cold!

Michael and Alysa playing soccer. They're getting really good!

Alysa at her 1st grade program.

Michael was a robot for his class opera. His third grade A.L.L. class wrote the opera themselves. It was really cute!

Paul wants to do everything Michael and Alysa do, including climbing the ladder to Michael's top bunkbed and sitting up there with them.

Paul's Fist Bath in the Big Tub and Other Tales...

Paul took his first bath in the big tub Saturday night. It was the cutest thing! He splashed the whole time and loved it. He squealed and laughed with delight. We went and bought him a rubber ducky today. He wasn't very interested in it, though - too busy with the water. It's funny how we want to get our little ones all the cool lights and sounds toys, but then the things they're most interested in are the simplest ones that cost us nothing, like the water in the tub and paper and packaging the toys come in.

He sits up very well on his own now and loves to dance and shake to singing and music. We'll sit him up in his crib, which is creaky and noisy and he loves to entertain himself by just rocking it and making noise. He reminds me of Michael when he was that age - loves all the attention he can get and hams it up by performing for everyone.

He had his six month check today. He weighs almost 21 lbs. and is 28 inches. The funny thing
is, he went down to the 91%. It's hard to believe there's even bigger babies than that.

His favorite toy is Baby Bear. The bears paws are numbered 1-6 and when you push them, they tell the story of Goldy Locks and The Three Bears. He's loved the bear from the beginning and has always talked back to it. It instantly puts a smile on his face. He loves talking toys and will jabber back to them. We gave him Alysa's Elmo stuffed animal the other day and he just looked at it like, "Why aren't you talking to me?".

Hey There!!

Wow, we've finally got a blog! I never thought I'd do one of these. I don't know if I'll actually have the time to keep it up, but I guess I'm going to try it out. But, not tonight. It's late and I need to sleep when my baby sleeps! Chow, baby!
